With the primary mission of delivering business-critical solutions and mobility, Fujitsu Siemens Computers announces the introduction of the PRIMERGY Econel 10, a PC technology-based server, ideal for the smaller business.

The PRIMERGY Econel 10 is ideal for 24 x 7 x 365 operation, with typical application scenarios optimally covered with two variants of the system with mono processor (933MHz, 128MB or 1GHz, 256MB DDRSDRAM memory) of the latest Intel Pentium III generation and with a maximum of two economical IDE fixed discs each with a 20GB capacity.
Shipped with server management tools, ServerStart and ServerView, the Econel 10 offers an excellent entry platform into the Fujitsu Siemens Computers PRIMERGY server line. Typical applications of this server are: small Application, print, file and e-mail server for smaller enterprises.
The PRIMERGY Econel 10 uses exclusively Intel Pentium III processors with 256KB ECC (Error Correction Code) protected second level cache. The memory can be expanded with three memory modules on the motherboard, with up to a maximum of 766MB DDR-SDRAM. DDR-SDRAM is the state-of-the-art successor memory technology with 266MHz access rate.
The entire memory is ECC protected, meaning that 1-bit errors are detected automatically and corrected. Both variants of the PRIMERGY Econel 10 ship with the Intel 10/100+ LAN network card. The PRIMERGY Econel 10 can be flexibly expanded depending upon fields of application with three slots provided for expansion.
System access is controlled via password protection in the BIOS for system start and set-up. This prevents inadvertent modifications to the system set-up. Interfaces and drives can be deactivated by entry into the CMOS.
