The new LIFEBOOK C series is the latest product offering in support of Fujitsu Siemens Computers` Mobility strategy. The new design all-in-one notebook is aimed specifically at the new professional notebook user in SMEs and small/home offices. It complements the appearance of the other LIFEBOOK models, and features a CD-ROM or DVD drive, LAN and modem, and a port replicator connection.
Customers are able to decide which notebook format they want, so there is a choice of 12-inch or 14-inch display and a Celeron 850 or Pentium III 850 processor.
The new LIFEBOOK C can support the Windows 98 SE/ME Dual Installation or Windows 2000/NT Dual Installation operating systems and will be compatible with Windows XP.
The security requirements of professional users are of equally high priority. The integrated smart card reader and security panel ensure access protection and data security. The dual password control in BIOS and for hard disk access also ensures that the hard disk cannot be accessed without corresponding user authorization, even when connected to another PC.
The increasing number of mobile employees is a real challenge for network administrators. The LIFEBOOK C has a "mobile" version of DeskView, the Fujitsu Siemens Computers intelligent management tool. This allows constant monitoring of hardware status, from configuration to component failure. The results are reflected by total IT costs, which can be reduced by up to 30%.
LIFEBOOK C offers the professional user a complete package with an attractive price/performance ratio. The new notebook is available now from dealers.
