The agreement offers mobile professionals seamless wireless connectivity allowing intelligent selection of the most appropriate wireless network and bandwidth, while relieving the user of troublesome connection issues and creating secure seamless handover and roaming between different wireless networks.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers has chosen Icomera`s innovative technology after evaluation of other similar competing solutions, and has licensed the Icomera Mobility GatewayT for integration into its portable product range including notebooks (LIFEBOOK), Pen Tablet PCs (Stylistic), and PDAs (new Pocket LOOX).
By licensing Icomera Mobility GatewayT, Fujitsu Siemens Computers strengthen their mobility offering by combining their portable products with Icomera Mobility GatewayT software.
The result is a powerful portable product range that provides mobile professionals with a solution that manages wireless network connectivity to different wireless networks such as WLAN, GPRS and UMTS. The Icomera Mobility GatewayT enables reliable always-on connectivity and seamless handover and maintains a secure, continuous wireless network connection to business critical information and instant collaboration applications.
Icomera Mobility GatewayT is available for Pocket LOOX, a Pocket PC 2002 device, the LIFEBOOK range of notebook PCs, and Pen Tablet PCs using Windows 2000/XP and adds the benefit of effective communication management to Fujitsu Siemens Computers Managed Mobility solutions.
