While the current device isn't that compelling - it's appearing on only one laptop so far - it does play Crysis, and the technology behind it has promise.
Kingston ships HyperX DDR3
Kingston is now shipping its HyperX DDR3 ultra-low latency SO-DIMM RAM for notebooks, according to SlipperyBrick.
The RAM operates at 1066MHz and is pre-programmed for high-performance.
DDR3 offers higher operating frequencies promising more performance. However, the drawback is that the latencies on DDR3 are typically much higher than on DDR2 parts, negating some of the performance gains.
