Fulcrum trainers, consultants put their money where their mouth is

Johannesburg, 05 Feb 2008

Fulcrum Business Solutions is a leader in EPM implementations and solutions, and is proud to announce that its trainers and consultants have become Microsoft certified in either the latest MCTS or MCITP qualifications for enterprise project management (EPM).

The qualifications are focused on Microsoft Project 2007 & Microsoft Project Server 2007, which are the new EPM-related qualifications from Microsoft.

Dennin Smith, Training Manager of Fulcrum Business Solutions, explains: "Fulcrum has always had a solid track record with regards to EPM solutions in both the 2003 and 2007 versions of the Microsoft EPM product, and has provided training and consulting services for the solutions that they implement across South Africa and into Africa.

"At the start of 2008, Fulcrum's management team decided that its trainers and consultants should prove their skills by asking them to become Microsoft Certified Technology Specialists (MCTS) by the end of January. We have never doubted the skills we have at Fulcrum and are proud of the wide range of exposure that our staff gets, working with the close to 100 clients we have done implementations for. As the management team, we wanted to be able to demonstrate the skills that we already knew that we had internally, and it was on that basis that we put the challenge forward to become certified. Trainers and consultants rose to the challenge and all now hold MCTS qualifications. Two of our staff members have become Microsoft Certified IT Professionals (MCITP) in EPM 2007 and the challenge is now on for the other trainers and consultants to achieve this."

The MCTS and MCITP credentials let you highlight your specific area of expertise and distinguish yourself as an expert in project management. More than a product certification, these new Microsoft certifications are designed specifically to help project managers apply the leading project management best practices and methodologies as established by the Project Management Institute (PMI), resulting in better project outcomes, greater efficiency, and optimal resource management.

Fulcrum can also now announce that it will run three new exam readiness courses to assist and guide individuals or companies who want their staff to achieve these qualifications. These EPM-related courses are focused on the following exams:

* 70:632: Microsoft Office Project 2007, Managing Projects
* 70-633: Microsoft Office Project Server 2007, Managing Projects
* 70-634: Microsoft Office Project Server 2007, Managing Projects and Programs
Fulcrum is offering two specials for these new courses.
* Book the first two courses and get the third for free.
* If you are fast enough to book for any of these courses before all the Fulcrum trainers and consultants have achieved MCITP status, you will be entitled to a further 10%, but you had better be quick.

"If you are fortunate enough to work with one of the Fulcrum trainers or consultants you can be guaranteed that they have the experience and now the qualifications to prove their skills," concluded Dennin Smith.
