In August 2006, Datatec`s Logicalis division acquired a 25% equity stake in Intact Integrated Services GmbH ("Intact Germany") in order to extend its IT services operation into Germany.
Datatec now announces that Logicalis has decided to exercise an option to acquire a further 50% of the share capital of Intact Germany for a consideration of EUR1 million.
The consideration will be settled by EUR0.3 million in cash and the allotment of 193 862 ordinary ZAR0.01 Datatec shares. Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the admission of these shares to the Alternative Investment Market, and to the JSE Limited for the listing of these shares.
Listing on both exchanges is expected to become effective on 12 October 2007.
