Galdon Data is fast becoming the preferred IT services company in KwaZulu-Natal since becoming one of the first Microsoft partners in South Africa.
The company achieved Microsoft Gold Partner status in the competency information worker solutions.
Meeting the rigorous new conditions introduced last year as part of Microsoft's revamped partner certification programme, Galdon Data has proved to have significant Microsoft skills that allow it to deliver innovative Microsoft-based business solutions that meet its customers' needs. Gold Certified Partners represent the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies.
Galdon Data KwaZulu-Natal regional manager Don Hastings says Microsoft competencies define a partner's area of specialisation. "Competencies can help position one's skills to customers, better align one's business with Microsoft marketing initiatives, and form closer relationships with other partners. Any Certified Partner or Gold Certified Partner, regardless of organisation size or the market segment served, is eligible to qualify for one or more Microsoft Competencies based on technical depth and business expertise."
According to Galdon Data MD Garry Ackerman, the new requirements for Gold Partner status goes beyond having specific in-house, up-to-date Microsoft technical skills and certifications. "Although the certification process places significant emphasis on proven delivery and customer satisfaction, Galdon Data has the skills the deliver Microsoft-based Information Worker solutions. We had to have working proof of our competency in this specialised field."
"Microsoft aims to provide certification programmes that help participants differentiate themselves in the industry, accelerate time to market, deepen credibility with customers and achieve their strategic business goals," says Bradley Hopkinson, small, midmarket solutions and partner group director at Microsoft South Africa.
"Our Certified Partners are among our greatest assets and this programme allows us to recognise those partners that have an outstanding ability to create and deliver effective, innovative, high-quality customer solutions based on Microsoft technology," he adds.
Ackerman says Galdon Data's service delivery is significantly enhanced through this certification. "At this level, one has access to the resources and support one needs to stand out in the marketplace. Furthermore, our partnership status affords it direct access to Microsoft's own in-house technical services."
"Our strong partnership philosophy enables companies to work with a partner that looks after their interest. Our specialised business process automation skills and experience ensure that we are able to help our customers impact positively on the bottom line," he concludes.
