Hyperion, locally distributed by Intellient, an EOH company, has been placed in the leaders' quadrant in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms, 1Q07. The recent report evaluates 15 vendors.
Gartner weighed Hyperion's completeness of vision and its ability to execute in determining its position in the Magic Quadrant.
"Hyperion significantly improved these reporting capabilities with System 9," says Marc Scheepbouwer, MD of Intellient.
"These technical improvements, coupled with the success Hyperion had in 2006 upgrading its customer base to System 9, were enough to propel Hyperion into the leaders' quadrant."
The Magic Quadrant uses multiple criteria to characterise companies in the leaders, challengers, visionaries and niche players' quadrants. It is a graphical representation of the marketplace for a specific time period that depicts Gartner's analysis of how certain vendors measure up against criteria for that marketplace.
"We think Hyperion's inclusion in the leaders' quadrant for Business Intelligence platform vendors is an achievement that reflects the growing reach of Hyperion System 9 BI+ worldwide," says Godfrey Sullivan, president and CEO of Hyperion.
"We recently delivered the second major release of Hyperion System 9 BI+, the first BI platform to integrate operations with finance. This platform brings to enterprises a broad range of BI innovations, including a master data management solution, significant enhancements to our Hyperion System 9 BI+ Essbase Analytics software, integration with Google OneBox, and a Hyperion System 9 Smart Space offering that will use gadgets to expand the use of BI.
"With these strategic BI advantages, Hyperion is providing the management system for today's enterprise."
