Gartner report places Canon first

Gartner's Print, Copier and MFP Quarterly Statistics paper revealed that Canon earned the top position for US copier / multi-function printing (MFP) market share, says ECM Connection.

The print giant controls 18.4% of the market. The research focused on market share for colour and black-and-white copiers / MFPs, including personal copiers.

Enspert unveils SOIP Homestation

Enspert has unveiled the second generation of its services over Internet protocol (SOIP) Homestation, the S2 Homestation, writes Market Watch.

The S2 Homestation is an Android-based 3Screen media convergence device that allows seamless provision and sharing of digital multimedia contents from mobile phones, IPTV, PC, home network and security.

“While the S1 Homestation continues to have robust sales interest, our push to introduce a portable-screen Homestation has resulted in a product that will drive the future of what the worldwide consumer can do with a smart home device," says Bobby Cha, MD of Enspert.

Motorola releases enterprise digital assistant

Motorola has released the MC75A 3.5G enterprise digital assistant (EDA), states DigiTimes.

The phone enables organisations to select the device best suited to meet their business needs while providing the ability to standardise on a single device for knowledge workers in the office or out in the field.

The phone can connect to either HSDPA or CDMA which provides wireless for voice and services. It can connect to WANs using 802.11.
