Global Technology Business Intelligence (GBI), part of the JSE-listed Global Technology group, has announced a partnership that will see GBI becoming the master distributor for JetForm in South Africa.
JetForm`s business is making Web-based software solutions that automate business processes and transform them into electronic processes, the e-process. The company`s strength lies in its intelligent XML-based forms, process automation and customer-focused document creation. It boasts more than 8 million users at 7 000 companies worldwide.
Mark Williams, MD of GBI says the partnership will enhance GBI`s capability in terms of solution provision in the ERP and financial markets because of the ease with which JetForm`s products can be integrated with major business applications.
JetForm has been present in the local market for five years, but decided to join forces with GBI to expand its reach. "The two companies have the same market focus and are therefore a good match. JetForm has the capabilities GBI is looking for, and GBI has the depth and strength in the local market that JetForm wants," says Peter Meehan, JetForm`s MD. "GBI`s links with the rest of the Global Technology group will even further enhance the partnership`s prospects."
GBI will inherit JetForm`s current South African base of 40 customers, including companies like Sasol and Vodacom, as well as the JetForm skills resources. The company will also actively seek out new value-added resellers (VAR) and systems integrators (SI) in other market sectors to further expand the local impact of the technology.
JetForm will fit well with GBI`s current product set, which includes business intelligence solutions and customer relationship management applications. "It will also play a critical role in GBI`s shift from a product-focused company to a solutions-focused company that will show stable growth through value-added services incorporating the best technology has to offer to its customers," notes Williams.
"The IDC reports that 83% of all business transactions are supported by forms of some nature, that is, it follows some sort of process," adds Meehan. "JetForm`s intelligent, XML-based Internet forms solution combines zero administration, security, and rich application functionality for both 32-bit client-server and browser architectures."
To ensure its seamless integration into all business applications in corporations, JetForm has forged alliances with key partners including Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard, Xerox, SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Entrust Technologies and VeriSign. Williams says GBI will build on these partnerships at a local level, as well as strengthening ties with the "big five" consulting companies.
