GBI named 2004 Hyperion Distributor of the Year

Johannesburg, 27 Sep 2004

Global Technology Business Intelligence (GBI), the distributor for Hyperion in southern Africa, has been named Hyperion Distributor of the Year for the fourth time.

GBI was awarded this accolade at the EMEA Hyperion Partner Forum held during the Solutions 2004: Hyperion International Conference in Paris. Solutions 2004 is Hyperion`s international user conference and a premier event for business performance management practitioners.

"The award is given each year to the distributor that achieves the highest revenues for that year, and shows the greatest commitment to Hyperion," says Marc Scheepbouwer, GBI CEO. "We consistently and aggressively drive the Hyperion business performance management message and strive to improve customer relations; and our clients continue to respond enthusiastically."

Other Hyperion partners to receive recognition for their achievements during the past year include: IBM Data Management as Software Partner of the Year; Deloitte Consulting as Systems Integrator of the Year; Business & Decision as Regional Reseller of the Year; Stampa & Partners as Regional Consulting Partner of the Year; Northdoor as Business Intelligence Partner of the Year; and INEUM, which earned the Special Recognition of the Year award.

The winning companies in the seven award categories were recognised for their ability to bring value to customers, and their outstanding achievements in extending the power of business performance management and business intelligence solutions in the market.

"Analysts such as Gartner and META Group are unequivocal in their endorsement of business performance management, a space Hyperion pioneered," adds Scheepbouwer. "Hyperion`s partners are crucial in the development and delivery of business performance management solutions and services to global customers; and it is a testimony to the vision of our clients that they have embraced this business approach as readily as they have, positioning themselves for outstanding corporate governance and competitive advantage."
