Nigeria must strengthen broadcasting framework
As Nigeria gets set to join the rest of the world in the digitisation of its broadcasting, the broadcast industry in that country will undergo a radical revolution because of the transition from analogue to digital, states This Day.
Nigeria has set 17 June, 2012, as the switch-over date from the current mode of broadcasting to the ultramodern digital terrestrial broadcasting.
The date is three years before the 17 June 2015 deadline for the entire world set by the International Telecommunications Union, after its congress in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2006.
