
Gentag merges RFID with mobile network
Technology development company, Gentag, is engaging with VCG & Associates and Talisman Management to assist the company with the licensing of its IP portfolio, to combine RFID with its mobile networks, according to PR News Wire.
Dr John Peeters, president of Gentag, says: "Gentag has pioneered the concept of combining cell phones with MEMS, RFID and other sensors to create low cost ubiquitous cellphone-sensor networks.”
Peeters says Gentarg is looking to new market opportunities for the healthcare, IT, telecommunication and defence industries.
Intelleflex drives RFID in India
Intelleflex has released its RFID products in India, states Indus Business Journal.
This follows the company's successful introductions in Europe and South Korea within the last year. Intelleflex continues its global expansion by delivering RFID tags and readers to India's rapidly growing supply chain market.
The company has already formed a partnership with India's Bartronics India, an integrator of automatic data capture identification technology.
RFID toy shares data
The first RFID mass-produced toy called Poken could be available on market in a few months, says Short News.
Poken is a USB device that can transmit personal data when placed next to another Poken, and then store this information onto a desktop computer or laptop.
The data can store social media information such as information found in LinkedIn, Twitter or Facebook.
