Gestetner extends MFPs range that delivers high-quality black and white, fast colour output

Following on the success of the DSc332 and DSc338 multifunctional products (MFPs), which incorporate fast colour with the traditional benefits of a dedicated mono device, Gestetner has extended the range to meet the needs of a smaller workgroup with the introduction of the DSc328.

"Effortless integration into a business` current IT environment is an important criterion for IT decision-makers when choosing a document management device, as is purchasing a machine that doesn`t require too much administration and is relatively easy for the end-users to operate," says Anthony Ho, product development manager at Gestetner SA.

"The DSc328 meets all these requirements as well as offering a machine that scans, copies, faxes, prints, is fully compatible with all networking standards and produces a black and white speed of 28 pages per minute (ppm) and fast colour speed of 20ppm.

"Gestetner incorporates a number of software solutions with its products to ensure users are able to quickly get to grips with the devices and their many printing, scanning, faxing and document finishing options," says Ho.

A significant software program is Web Image Monitor which comes standard with the DSc328. Using their ordinary Web browser, users are able to access the device and view, download or reprint documents as they need to, as well as check the toner and paper status right from their desks.

"As the number of fixed and mobile networking standards proliferates, it becomes more important for document management devices to integrate into all possible environments. Gestetner is very aware of this and continually improves the connectivity options of its machines. In addition to offering traditional network connectivity, the DSc328 supports wireless LAN, Bluetooth and USB connectivity," says Ho.
