Gestetner has introduced two new multi-functional printer, copier and fax units with network scanner and document server functions to provide all-in-one solutions for small and large offices alike.
These products supersede the Gestetner 3235 and 3245.
Focused on versatility and performance, the new 3502 and its bigger brother, the 4502, match output, quality and speeds normally found in standalone printers, fax machines and copiers.
"The 3502 and 4502 have high scanning, modem and transmission speeds incorporating three simultaneous fax lines, as well as memory capacity for 1200 quick dial numbers. They operate at 35 pages per minute (ppm) for the 3502 and 45ppm for the more capable 4502," says Michael Stanley, marketing manager at Gestetner SA.
They print and copy at 600dpi and offer 100% duplex productivity meaning that the 3502 and 4502 are capable of printing at full speeds of 35 and 45ppm respectively in double sided mode. The network scanner provides a black and white scanner with 600dpi as standard.
The new multi-functional devices also offer a 10GB document server to capture and store documents, whether they originate from printer, copier, scanner, fax or PC fax. "This allows documents to be re-used, re-printed or re-faxed when necessary and represents a step forward for this type of device, which hitherto has been capable of storing and printing only copy and print files," says Stanley.
Warm up time has been shortened to 15 seconds and 20 seconds on the 3502 and 4502 machines respectively.
