An increasing number of SOHO (small office/home office) workers and medium-sized workgroups are demanding more performance from their office equipment, and the quality to match their bigger rivals.
The P7026N network laser printer offers 1200 x 1200dpi resolution and 26ppm print speed. It prints up to A3 size, but is smaller than many A4-only printers. It also comes with 16MB of memory, which is expandable to 80MB, and there is also an optional 6GB hard disk drive that adds additional performance and functionality.
Michael Stanley, marketing manager at Gestetner SA, says: "This new Gestetner laser printer directly addresses the real demands of individual power users and small network users today. The P7026N offers a comprehensive range of features in a product that takes up minimal desk space and is easy to set up and use."
The printer includes a 250-sheet paper drawer and a 100-sheet bypass tray. It also offers a number of paper-handling configurations, including two optional 500-sheet paper feed units for 1 350-sheet capacity and a mail-box option enabling individuals or small workgroups to direct their output to a dedicated bin. The optional Duplex unit gives high-speed, two-sided printing to minimise paper usage.
The P7026 supports PCL5e, PCL6 and PostScript 3 printing as standard, and also has a new printer driver specifically designed for simplifying communications.
