Gestetner strengthens its scanner range with the PSC430dc and even higher speed PSC433dc - providing small workgroups with more than high-quality scanning - it adds full multifunction flexibility when combined with selected laser printers.
The new PSC430dc and PSC433dc from Gestetner are colour flatbed scanners that provide a reliable scanning solution in the office, but also bring full-featured multifunction capabilities to existing laser printers.
They can operate as a standalone scanner for the small office, a network scanner in a busy workgroup, or be directly connected to a Gestetner colour or mono laser printer to provide advanced copying functionality. These are high speed devices running at up to 33 pages per minute with double-sided scanning, and support paper sizes up to A3. They are highly cost-effective tools for the office environment that extend the functionality of existing investments in Gestetner technologies.
When connected to a compatible Gestetner printer, the devices act as one to offer extended functionality and the ability to copy at a full printer speed. In addition, the scanner takes on all the paper handling features of the printer, such as double-sided output. This not only saves costs but minimises environmental impact through the reduction of paper usage.
High performance is a key feature of these scanners. The PSC430dc and PSC433dc scanners have high quality 600dpi resolution, a fast warm-up time and scanning speeds of either 10 or 13 pages per minute (ppm) colour, 30ppm or 33ppm black and white respectively. Their versatile Automatic Reverse Document Feeder (ARDF) scans double-sided media at both A4 and A3 sizes.
Network ready, the PSC430dc series seamlessly integrates into existing document environments, providing a reliable network scanning solution. They have Ethernet and USB 2.0 as standard, ensuring seamless connection to multiple computers on the network. Optional wireless LAN adds further flexibility, enabling connection with the latest generation of wireless networks.

Embedded `Scan-to-Email` and `Scan-to-Folder` enable documents to be distributed directly from the scanner`s control panel to any specific e-mail address or any folder on via the office network. For example, Scan-to-Email allows single or multi-page documents to be captured in the required format (PDF, JPEG, TIF) and then sent immediately to the recipient in one streamlined process. This saves time and serves as a more secure method of circulation for users, who previously would have used more traditional forms of communication such as fax. These advanced technologies deliver a new and efficient means of communication, raising productivity levels and empowering users to distribute documents to colleagues and customers anywhere in the world.
Both the PSC430dc and PSC433dc include a range of supporting software, allowing users to utilise flexibility and performance. DeskTopBinder enables multiple documents to be scanned and saved as one file on the network, providing a quick and easy way to manage documents. Other valuable software such as Web Status Monitor gives network administrators the ability to remotely monitor the status of the scanner via a simple browser window. This allows network administrators to easily manage them and maintain uptime.
