Logitech and Workgroup are jumpstarting the cordless revolution with a corporate reseller promotion which will see a cash-back incentive on mice and keyboards.
Shawn Bezuidenhout, Logitech product manager at Crew, a division of Workgroup, explains that corporates, through selected resellers, can "trade in" any of their old mice for a new Logitech cordless wheel mouse and receive R50 off the retail price of R399 (excl VAT).
A similar promotion is running on the Logitech I-Touch cordless desktops where, through the same selected resellers, corporates and individual end users will receive R100 cash back when they bring in their old mouse and keyboard if they purchase the Logitech product, which retails for R875 (excl VAT).
"Even if the old mouse cost R10, the reseller will receive R50 off his new purchase," says Bezuidenhout, who adds that cordless technology is the way of the future.
"Consumers are soon going to ask for cordless mice and keyboards as a matter of course, and Logitech has already established a market-leading position in this arena. With Logitech's affordable offer, the opportunity to "taste" cordless technology is now possible."
He says the promotion will run for three weeks from 21 February 2000.
