
Ghana calls for audit transformation

All Africa.com reveals the acting Director General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), Ransford Agyei indicates the new audit agency has a mandate to secure quality assurance of internal audit practice.
He says “the ultimate goal is to promote and ensure transparency, accountability and effective performance in the public service of Ghana.”
Peace FM Online says the IAA is seeking amendment to the Internal Audit Agency Act, 2003 to enable it undertake independent assignments such as prosecution and timely financial management.
The re-branding exercise is to reposition the internal audit function to provide an invaluable management tool for implementing good governance, risk management and internal control.
