Gigabyte Technology has introduced the GV-NX62128D, the company`s latest graphics card that now offers GeForce 6 Series architecture and performance to South African PC users.
Distributed by Rectron, the graphics card features an advanced graphics-set for next-generation games such as Far Cry and Doom 3.
"With a GeForce 6200-based PC, users now have a compelling, cost-effective alternative to integrated graphics that at the same time delivers amazing graphics and high-definition video performance as well as 3D architecture," comments Michael Hann, Gigabyte product manager at Rectron.
The GV-NX62128D also offers support for Microsoft DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0 which is used to develop realistic, next-generation DirectX 9.0 games. The graphics card also features NVIDIA UltraShadow II technology for improved speeds on next-generation, shadow-intensive games such as Doom 3.
The Gigabyte 6 Series also features one of the industry`s first GPU-based programmable video processing engines for high-definition video playback.
