Gigabyte has introduced its next-generation Gaming VGA solution based on the NVIDIA GeForce 7800GT. Distributed to South African users by Rectron, the GV-NX78T256V-B`s high definition graphics processor follows close on the heels of several innovative VGA cards from Gigabyte.
These include the proprietary 3D1 series of dual GPU cards, innovative fanless thermal designs with Silent-pipe cooling technology and Gigabyte`s Turbo Force performance tuner.
The GV-NX78T256V-B continues Gigabyte`s leading techno-design tradition with a remarkable 20-pixel pipeline in what is arguably the most powerful and technically advanced graphics accelerator currently at hand.
NVIDIA`s GeForce 7800GT GPU featured on the new GV-NX78T256V-B boasts mainstream architectures comprising Shader Model 3.0, HDR (High dynamic-range), and SLI technology.
The GeForce 7 series is designed with a fourth-generation graphics engine that streamlines the creation of complex visual effects. Features such as the CineFX 4.0 engine enable developers to create 3D effects in both game animation and high-definition video. Moreover the engine supports Microsoft DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0, which provides infinite program command length, creating photo-realistic scenes and environments in games.
"Additionally, the GV-NX78T256V-B supports HDR (High dynamic-range) rendering technology which takes advantage of subtle light, texture and colour intricacies to create realistic environments by representing colour and intensity values with higher levels of precision," comments Michael Hann, Gigabyte product manager at Rectron.
The GV-NX78T256V-B also incorporates PureVideo technology that ensures support for new video formats, while its motion estimation engine (MEE) allows the card to record and play video files simultaneously without interrupting system performance.
Lastly, the graphics processor is equipped with video in and out (VIVO), HDTV, DVI-I, D-SUB output, and is bundled with a range of software including Cyberlink PowerDirector 3.0 ME, PowerDVD 6.0, Spell Force, and Xpand Rally.
