Gigabyte launches 8 Maze Challenge world cup in SA

Johannesburg, 20 Jul 2004

Hot on the heels of the launch of Gigabyte Technology`s 8 (Sigma) Series, the company has in conjunction with South African distributor, Rectron, announced the World Cup "8 Maze Challenge" Web game.

To enter the competition, local participants can simply go http://www.gigabyte.com.tw. By finding and collecting all 8 Sigma shields in the maze (as quickly as possible) and then answering a product questionnaire, you stand to win one of 200 prizes.

Participants that collect all eight shield in under 30 seconds will be eligible to win a prize package that includes a Gigabyte 8 Sigma series motherboard, ATI Series PCI-Express graphic card, an Intel Pentium 4 with HT technology 5xx sequence CPU (LGA 775) and two Corsair DDRII 512MB memory modules.

Other prizes include a Gigabyte G-MAX TC4, PX Series motherboard, ATI Series PCI-Express graphic cards, an Intel Pentium 4 CPU, and Corsair DDRII Memory.

"These are truly fantastic prizes, we urge all our local partners to participate in this fun-filled and inventive take on the introduction of a new technology," comments Reon Coetzee, marketing manager at Rectron.

The competition closes on 6 August 2004 and the final list of winners will be announced on the Web site on 16 August 2004.
