South African distributor Rectron has introduced Gigabyte Technology`s next-generation NVIDIA 6600 series graphics accelerators. The GV-N66 series offers a threesome of choice in the form of the GV-NX66T256D (256MB DDR III memory) along with the GV-NX66T128D (128MB DDR III memory) and the GV-NX66128D (128MB DDR I memory) - all powered by NVIDIA`s latest solution PCI GeForce 6600 GPU.
PC gamers will enjoy enhanced graphics with no jagged edges at light-speed courtesy of NVIDIA`s Intellisample 3.0. Improved shader architecture S.M. 3.0, together with CineFX for cinematic realism completes the GV-N66 series as an appealing choice for all-round performance.
The GV-N66 series is fully compatible with Microsoft DirectX 9.0C Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 1.5, enabling complex special effects for all applications. Graphics accelerators support PCI for 16GBps throughput. DVI support ensures high quality graphics output from your digital monitor, while the TV encoder provides a TV-out function for media flexibility. The latest V-TUNER 2 O/C enhances system performance on-demand.
Taking innovation even further, NVIDIA presents SLI (Scalable Link Interface). "The SLI allows multiple GPUs to function in a single system, by taking advantage of increased bandwidth offered by the PCI Express bus architecture, scaling graphics performance to unbelievable levels," comments Reon Coetzee, marketing manager of Rectron.
The Gigabyte GV-N66 series is bundled with gamers in mind, DoomS3 or "Joint operations: Typhoon Rising" are packaged with GV-NX66T128D, while GV-NX66128D features "Thief". All models including GV-NX66T256D offer PowerDVD 5.
