Gijima changes board

The company says Ashwin Hirjee Trikamjee joined the board with effect from Friday. Trikamjee has a legal background and is a practising attorney, as well as having acted as a judge of the Supreme Court in the Natal Provincial Division.

He is currently the deputy chairman of Lion Match and a director of Old Mutual Life Assurance.

In addition, Trikamjee is one of the high ranking Hindu priests in SA, says Gijima in its Stock Exchange News Service announcement.

Dlamini resigned from Gijima's board on Friday. She was appointed as a non-executive director in June 2005 and has a medical degree.

Gijima did not give reasons for Dlamini's resignation, but wished her well.
