Gijima COO steps down

Johannesburg, 05 Mar 2012

JSE-listed outsourcing company Gijima says its recently-appointed COO has resigned.

In a statement to shareholders on Friday, the company said Debbie Zwane-Chikura was leaving to “pursue other interests with immediate effect”. Chairman Robert Gumede and the board thanked Zwane-Chikura for her contribution.

Zwane-Chikura was appointed last June, after the board and management's approval of Gijima's new operating structure - its client-centric matrix model, which is currently being implemented.

“Zwane-Chikura will, as COO, inter alia be tasked with driving innovation and enhancing delivery towards the company's clients,” said Gumede at the time.

Gijima says, as an interim measure, Gijima's operating divisions will report to CEO Jonas Bogoshi, also with immediate effect.
