GijimaAst gains gold with Nortel

GijimaAst has been awarded Nortel Networks Gold Solutions Partner status for its LAN capabilities. This is an acknowledgement of GijimaAst`s commitment to and expertise in providing solutions based on Nortel Networks` offerings to its enterprise customers.

"Gold Partner status fits in very well with GijimaAst`s core specialty in delivering integrated, superior application networked solutions," explains Keith Bothma, National Sales Manager for Networks, a division of GijimaAst. "We believe that, coupled with our local expertise, Nortel`s innovative range of solutions are positioned to make next-generation converged networks a reality for our clients."

GijimaAst has to meet stringent criteria from Nortel including accreditation on business, training and infrastructural certification, and service level capability - and move significant volumes of Nortel in order to qualify for Gold Partner Status. In addition, GijimaAst has to ensure it has the necessary sales and technical skills in place.

GijimaAst has developed capabilities and a track record in providing LAN, WAN, VANs and VPN services to a diverse client base across SA, as well as voice solution design, implementation and support services.

Furthermore, qualifying for Gold Solutions Partner status required GijimaAst to complete additional training on solutions design, pre-sales and sales, and deliver recognised service level capabilities.
