Global Technology Banking implements AJS for cliff Dekker Fuller Moore

Global Technology Banking has implemented AJS Automated Legal Office for Cliff Dekker Fuller Moore, in its largest legal deal to date, worth R1,2 million. The solution has been implemented for 255 users for Cliff Dekker Fuller Moore, one of South Africa`s largest law firms, specialising in corporate and commercial law. Implementation was completed on 1 June 2000 in Johannesburg and will be completed during October 2000 in Cape Town.

Kevin Lester, IT Partner of Cliff Dekker Fuller Moore, says, "Some of the many benefits of the product include each user being able to record any activity as it happens, reducing manual inefficiency and paper usage. Users are able to share files and information, as the system is client/server designed. As a result, multiple attorneys are able to debit fees to the same client while the system maintains full management control. For us, the major benefit is the ability to produce invoices on demand in the format we prefer. The system allows us to edit the content and amounts, until a final invoice is produced."

When implementing the AJS Automated Legal Office, AJS undertook to do a complete conversion from Cliff Dekker Fuller Moore`s previous system, successfully converting 86 000 accounts and 3,7 million transactions. The product features include a Dynamic Diary facility to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to dead-lines; a Document Management System; an Electronic Fee Book for recording daily activity; a Data Warehouse for advanced management reports; a Crystal Reports Menu for daily productivity reports; a Flexible Management Information System facilitated by uniVerse Database; a Flexi-Invoicing facility and integration with third party systems.
