Global Technology recently launched its first Internet banking site in Mocambique, in conjunction with Banco Standard Totta de Mocambique (BSTM).
This follows the implementation of its Internet Banking module for the bank. The module interfaces directly with GLOBUS, the world-leading banking solution, which was implemented at BSTM in 1999. BSTM is the oldest private financial institution in Mocambique, and is one of only two banks that offers electronic and internet banking services.
Joao Machado Raposo, Advisor to the BSTM Board of Directors, says: "As a result of Global Technology providing us with their Internet Banking solution, BSTM will be able to offer clients a comprehensive range of internet banking services.
"Clients will be able to complete account transfers, access and download statements, order cheque books and make third party payments on-line, all from the privacy of their homes or offices. This will save our clients considerable time by avoiding bank queues, and Global Technology has ensured that stringent on-line security measures have been implemented to protect our clients. BSTM clients can use internet banking in either English or Portuguese.
