GlobeTOM has been appointed an official reseller of Altova software and application development and data integration solutions.
The partnership will enable GlobeTOM to provide advanced tools and services for XML, data management, unified modelling language, Web services and surrounding technologies - functioning as standalone products.
"Altova met our requirements for a partner that offers the tools and technologies to extend and enrich the data transformation capabilities offered off-the-shelf as part of our GEF platform. What this means is that, with embedded Altova tools as an optional element of GEF, ETL functions can be exposed as a service in our service-orientated architecture (SOA) offering. This elevates GEF into the enterprise content management space," comments Philip Stander, MD of GlobeTOM.
The company reports that GEF is a next-generation application server and integration platform in the SOA paradigm and is the underlying platform for a number of GlobeTOM's product offerings, which include a loyalty engine, electronic prepaid solution, booking solution and mobile messaging platform.
Other Altova products available to GlobeTOM customers include StyleVision, Umodel, DatabaseSpy, DiffDog and SchemaAgent.
