Centurion-based software developer and systems integrator GlobeTOM announced that it has been appointed as a value-added reseller of Canadian VOIP call completion specialist company Eyeball Network Inc.
Eyeball Networks Inc has a proud track record in VOIP products and solution delivery since 2003 with over 19 000 000 VOIP subscribers running on Eyeball technologies worldwide and with over 10 billion call minutes already fulfilled by the over 100 VOIP service providers making use of Eyeball's technologies.
GlobeTOM was particularly attracted to the fact that Eyeball's focus is, similar to that of GlobeTOM, to deliver carrier-grade solutions on Red Hat Linux and Intel/AMD platforms. In addition, the Eyeball Border and State SIP Proxy server product has an open billing interface which GlobeTOM plans to use immediately for integration with its online charging solution for convergent service billing.
The Eyeball product range includes a comprehensive instant messaging server, off-the-shelf IM client applications as well as a software development kit for additional IM solution development. Eyeball offers the product with an own branding capability to ensure the IM products will have the required look-and-feel that customers may require.
The Eyeball product range also includes an AntiSPIT server to eliminate VOIP spam before it hits the subscriber base and also include subscriber rating according to behaviour and announcement to VOIP called parties of bad behavioural ratings of the call originator.
Eyeball further includes its AnyFirewall Server for NAT and firewall traversal based on STUN, TURN and ICE to overcome one of the biggest challenges facing adoption and reliability of VOIP as a result of over 85% of VOIP subscriber end-points residing behind firewalls.
GlobeTOM will invest significantly during the next period to ensure that we will be able to support Eyeball locally with a solid product management knowledge base as well as sound implementation and integration capabilities.
