Global Technology Australasia (GTA) has been awarded a tender to supply Queensland Rail with Metify, its activity-based management solution.
Queensland Rail is a government-owned corporation that administers Australia`s largest rail network. It issued the tender as it wants to improve its cost-capturing method for the Passenger Services Group, the business that manages long-distance passenger and tourist train travel in Queensland.
"We operate in a competitive environment and are continually striving to improve our performance. Metify enhances our ability to analyse profitability and business performance," says Graeme Finlayson, Business Services Manager for the Passenger Services Group at Queensland Rail. Metify ABM facilitates effective, strategic and profitable management decisions by providing accurate and detailed information about the true costs of doing business.
Robert Edge, MD of GTA, says: "We are delighted that Queensland Rail has chosen Metify. It is a proven management tool that can solve today`s business-critical issues since it allows enterprises to examine and analyse costs which affect their return on investment."
Ray Leonard, South African-based CEO of Global Technology, says: "Contracts such as this are strategic to Global Technology as they provide us with new customers in countries outside Africa, generating dollar-denominated revenues, and they consolidate our export strategy."
Metify ABM is used in over 750 organisations worldwide, including organisations such as American Express, Microsoft, Prudential, British Airways, AT&T, Rolls Royce, Nortel Networks, DHL and Bank of America. Metify`s Australian clients include GE Capital and Suncorp Metway and Mainland Products Limited, which is GTA`s first New Zealand client.
