JSE Securities Exchange-listed Global Technology, through its Australian operation, has signed a contract with Rabobank Australia and New Zealand Group to provide the GLOBUS banking solution for its rural banking operations.
Ray Leonard, CEO of Global Technology, comments: "Rabobank, an international food and agribusiness banking specialist, will use GLOBUS for its Australian and New Zealand operations, covering deposits, mortgage-backed lending and transactional products."
Rabobank has more than 55 offices in Australia and New Zealand, servicing the financial needs of rural and agribusiness clients. Internationally, the bank operates in over 35 countries, helping agricultural companies and businesses achieve their goals.
"Rabobank is also one of the top 50 banks globally, making this a major addition to our client base," Leonard says.
Publicly-listed Global Technology Australasia (GTA), the Australian distributor of GLOBUS, will contribute resources to the implementation. "Rabobank joins a group of more than 500 customer sites across 96 countries that have implemented GLOBUS. These include top financial institutions such asCredit-Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch and Lloyds Bank," Leonard says.
Global Technology has the sole rights to implement and distribute GLOBUS across Southern Africa and Australia.
"GLOBUS is an integrated, modular international banking system with full functionality and was voted top selling banking software for the fourth year running by International Banking Systems," Leonard concludes. "Fifteen of the top 100 banks in the world are GLOBUS customers."
