JSE Securities Exchange-listed Global Technology has taken Rabobank Australia through the first phase of its implementation of the Globus core banking solution, and the bank has gone live.
This first phase encompassed the conversion of the Australian Call and Term Deposit book from Rabobank`s various legacy systems. As future phases are rolled out, Rabobank will use Globus for its Australian and New Zealand rural banking operations, covering deposits, mortgage-backed lending and transactional products.
"The successful implementation of this first phase represents a major milestone for us in establishing Rabobank as a key Australian Globus reference site," says Global Technology CEO Ray Leonard.
As the world`s leading banking system, Globus has over 500 customer sites across 96 countries, including some of the world`s top financial institutions such as Credit Suisse, Lloyds Bank, Deutsche Bank, Standard Bank, Merrill Lynch, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, Nedbank and Dresdner Bank.
Rabobank is a leading international food and agribusiness banking specialist, ranking within the top 50 banks globally (based on total assets) and is AAA credit-rated. Rabobank was recently ranked as one of the world`s safest banks by Global Finance Magazine (November 2001).
In Australia and New Zealand, Rabobank has more than 55 offices servicing the financial needs of rural and agribusiness clients. Rabobank`s vision to be the leading agribusiness bank in Australia and New Zealand is supported by quality products, industry knowledge and personal client service. Global Technology Australasia is the region`s leading supplier of next-generation software and solutions to the banking and finance industry.
