South African company Fulcrum Information Technologies has earned Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status.
Fulcrum technical director Dries van der Colff says the group`s core capability revolves around Microsoft`s Enterprise Project Management Solution, built on Microsoft Office Project Server 2003, Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 and Microsoft Office Project Web Access 2003.
The company`s gold certification was achieved based on fulfilling the requirements in two Microsoft competences: information worker solutions and ISV/software solutions.
Van der Colff explains that he, as well as another member of staff, passed Microsoft`s "Planning, Deploying and Managing an Enterprise Project Management Solution" examination. They also developed and registered a product, the Fulcrum Cube Extender, which was tested and certified by Microsoft, as part of the requirements for achieving gold partner status.
"The Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution enables advanced reporting facilities through OLAP cubes generated using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services.
"The Fulcrum Cube Extender extends the EPM OLAP cube to include task-level information, and it incorporates any numeric field the client requires as measures into the cube," he says.
