The GoldenSoft range of software offerings has been launched in South Africa by JSE-listed Rectron. GoldenSoftware products span a wide range of applications, from training and multi-media education to data recovery, simulation and remote network monitoring.
The move marks an entry into the software arena for Rectron, currently one of the largest computer hardware and components distributors in South Africa.
Rectron CEO Mark Lu, says Rectron is the first company to market GoldenSoft products in South Africa and is working with the Taiwan-based software vendor to select packages and solutions to suit local requirements.
"One of our first offerings is targeted at training and education, a key requirement for most businesses in South Africa," says Lu. "It address the full range of learning styles and customer requirements while leveraging the latest developments in Internet collaboration technologies.
"It is able to combine streaming media, application sharing, remote application control, white-boarding and live interactive sessions over the Internet to create a fully collaborative and supportive environment for learners."
Lu says that other GoldenSoft offerings address data recovery and security issues, important for e-business applications.
"By leveraging the latest technologies, we can provide our dealers, resellers and their customers with the most effective ways to deliver new-generation software solutions," adds Lu.
