Google desktop manages content
Google has released Google Desktop version 4, which contains services to improve the way users manage Web content.
It allows users to access small interactive applications known as "widgets" from within the product`s sidebar, without having to download software or open up a browser, writes ComputerWeekly.
Google Desktop 4 synchronises with other computers, so when a change is made on an individual`s work machine, for instance, it is also made on that individual`s home computer, the article notes.
Compiere collaborates ERP and CRM solutions
Compiere, a provider of open source business applications, has announced a collaboration management system for its enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) solution.
Version 2.5.3c`s collaboration management system consists of a content management system (CMS), chat capability and Web store improvements, according to CRM2Day.
The CMS is based on standard XSLT and XML formatting. It supports high-volume environments, including clustering and distributed locations. Content from the core ERP and CRM application is easily integrated, adds the report.
