In conjunction with various business partners and IBM South Africa, mySolutions hosted a representative of GoPro in July and introduced the company's case and incident management system to various government organisations.
mySolutions' relationship with GoPro began two years ago when both parties met at the Lotusphere, in Orlando, USA. It was here that the synergies of the product and the need for its application in the various burning points, such as e-governance and proper case management in South Africa, quickly became apparent.
This relationship has since developed steadily to the point where a representative of GoPro came to meet with local government and other authorities and departments in South Africa.
GoPro is currently utilised in over 18 countries, including South Africa, at over 500 separate organisations. It is a powerful tool used in the management and control of all aspects of a 'case' from the approval cycle of new medication through to the application of visas and passports. Depending on the clients' needs and wants, as well as their current implemented systems and applications, it can be linked to various technologies such as search engines, pattern recognition software and various other tools.
GoPro enjoys over 15 years of experience and includes a vast knowledge base that allows its utilisation in various industries across the board from government entities right through to the private sector. As case management has evolved and become increasingly important in our information-rich society, GoPro provides the tool to gather this information and enable a dynamic process-driven methodology to handle the flow of the incident or case.
Generally, strategic decisions are based on prior information and the trends that they follow. GoPro allows for these “what if” scenarios to be built on historical data as well as the factoring in variables so as to show workloads and projected incidents to ensure that any decisions can be based on accurate data. The ability to have an overview through various levels as well as across multiple organisations falling within a sector allows for a case management system to propel the organisation or government into the next millennia. GoPro provides the power needed for fast, accurate precise and concise data management and ultimately case and incident management to counteract an often chastised lack of efficiency.
GoPro is versatile and thus incorporates various technologies: it has its roots on the IBM Lotus Notes and Domino platform and integrates seamlessly with these. Over the years an SQL as well as Dot Net version have been developed to accommodate the Microsoft environments. As the solution is based on SOA technologies and understandings it offers maximum user-friendliness granting the users an overview, while at the same time, falling back on extremely stable and tried and tested back-end systems. The use of portlets and other Web 2.0 applications provides a multi-tiered and structured interface as well as the necessary controls to manage and maintain the system with the full level of security, traceability and access rights needed, so as to ensure that all automated and electronic processes follow the correct approval cycles to hinder exploitation and misuse.
mySolutions is proud to be able to bring this product to the South African market in collaboration with various business partners and GoPro. Please contact us for more information should you wish to learn more about GoPro.
