GreenAppX delivers business bundle

GreenAppX has released GreenRecovery, a bundle of business continuity applications providing SMEs with on-demand solutions for restoring vital business processes following a man-made or natural disaster, according to Phone+ Magazine.

These processes include the recovery and restoration of critical data, e-mail services and remote collaboration capabilities.

“Studies show that 78% of businesses fail within two years after a loss of critical data. Designing a business continuity strategy needs to be a core initiative for all SMEs,” says Jim Safran, president of GreenAppX.

CA enhances programs

CA is expanding channel partner programs for its Internet software and business continuity/disaster recovery products, ChannelWeb reports.

The company unveiled the plans during a tech symposium at Everything Channel's XChange Solution Provider 2009 conference in New Orleans.

On 2 April, CA's Internet security business unit will unveil the onsite PC program to encourage service to sell Threat Manager Total Defence for business and Internet Security Suite for home use during service calls.

Resiliency joins LightEdge

LightEdge, the hosted services partner of communications and IT needs for SMEs, says members of Resiliency Solutions, a business continuity and resiliency planning consulting service, have joined the company, according to WebWire.

The combination of skills will allow the company to offer its business customers additional insight and best practices regarding risk mitigation, continuity planning, IT reliability, and redundancy.

While business continuity and contingency planning practices have been active among large companies for years, it has become a rapidly-growing trend among SMEs that view information technology as a vital component of their business.
