Mobile Paymaster has partnered with mobile tech start-up, Grenade, to market the latter's mobile products in SA and the sub-continent.

Grenade's flagship product, AmplyFire, reduces the cost and simplifies the process for companies looking to create mobile products for smartphones and tablets.

"AmplyFire offers companies the unique opportunity to get a branded mobile app quickly and inexpensively for a small set-up fee and a very reasonable monthly rate," says Mobile Paymaster joint CEO Ian Milne. "Companies can either pay Grenade to their app content or they can manage it themselves - something that is ideal for companies like retailers that need to chop and change their offerings at very short notice."

The solution will reach enterprises of all sizes, says Milne. "This includes just about every company of any importance in the country, from small entrepreneurial retailers, to publishers and, more especially, the likes of shopping malls, advertising agencies and diverse organisations that touch all aspects of the market.

"Previously, these companies either had to develop their apps in-house, which meant hiring or training complex skills, or use outside developers who charge the earth."

AmplyFire's capabilities include the utilisation of push notifications on mobile devices, allowing apps to users when there is new content available. Click-and-pay functionality is also included. Apps are branded to customer specifications, and are currently available for iOS and Android, with BlackBerry 10 soon to follow.

Subscriber databases can be integrated into apps, as can a Web-based file management system. Cloud hosting, social media, offline reading mode and turnkey facilities to enable display advertising are also available.

Every aspect of launching a mobile product is managed by Grenade, says Milne, including testing and publishing to app stores.
