Google Apps for Business is a suite of Google applications that brings together essential services to help businesses. It includes Web-based e-mail, calendars and documents, all hosted by Google on its secure, reliable infrastructure. The suite offers all of the benefits of traditional office productivity suites, with the added benefit that employees can access their content from anywhere, anytime, via any Internet-enabled device, resulting in increased productivity and collaboration while reducing costs.
The solution resonates well in the African market, where Grove has seen significant growth. Changing attitudes towards the cloud have also been noted as security and bandwidth concerns have diminished. This suggests that the perceptions of the market towards 'the cloud' are changing - something Grove attributes to the positive influence of those who've adopted the technology early.
The Cloud Africa Summit 2012 took place on 23 and 24 May 2012, at the Midrand Conference Centre, in Johannesburg. The inaugural Cloud Africa Summit is a new event from the Com World Series, organisers of AfricaCom, the continent's leading telecoms, media and ICT conference and exhibition.
