Growth potential in HRO market

Late last week, SAP announced that it had extended its Safe Passage programme for Oracle customers, through its Safe Passage for BPO programme, Ovum has reported.

The financial terms of the programme give BPO providers recognition for some of the value of Peoplesoft and JD Edwards licences.

Ovum views the focus on the financial aspects of the programme as important: "Changing an ERP or HR platform is a significant undertaking for a , as is the changing from internal operations to BPO."

Furthermore, the addition of Arinso as a BPO partner is a positive move for SAP, Ovum says. Arinso is an important European player with capability around the HR Outsourcing (HRO) market. HRO is an area with growth potential, and SAP needs to have well-developed partnerships here, it said.

Streamlining through PeopleSoft 8 integration

Integration with PeopleSoft 8 streamlines organisation charting and management reporting at KPN, reports Paypershop.

KPN has selected HRCharter Enterprise from HRM , an organisational charting solution, to present and view HR management information for over 18 300 employees across its Netherland offices.

HRCharter was chosen for its integration with the existing PeopleSoft 8 HRMS software and for its ease of use.

The integration with PeopleSoft enables the charts to draw any personnel - not just job titles and names - from the HR database, so that KPN`s 1 400 managers can quickly compile different departmental overviews for HR and management planning.
