GuestLogix unveils airline retail tech

GuestLogix, a provider of retail solutions to the airline and the passenger travel industry, has unveiled its onboard retail technology platform, states Digital Journal.

This comprehensive end-to-end payment industry compliant offering aims to provide operators in the passenger travel industry with the ability to capture new sales and enhance the travel experience, Digital Journal adds. GuestLogix is participating with Visa at Cartes & Identification in Paris to showcase contactless applications and new payment technologies in travel.

Combined, the automated solutions will aim to provide retailers with the necessary tools to successfully communicate and execute in-store activities to improve compliance and customer satisfaction across the chain.

Akamai Technologies, which powers video, dynamic transactions and enterprise applications online, is showing elevated global retail Web traffic at 11% above normal at last check, writes Benzinga.com.

Akamai chronicles real-time traffic to online shopping sites, with a unique index that tracks visitors per minute to an aggregated group of more than 270 global online retail sites.

By continent, South America was highest at 21% above normal, and Australia was lower at 25% below normal. North America was 17% above normal, and Europe was 6% above normal.
