Gigabyte Technology together with South African distributor Rectron has introduced the anticipated GV-RX70128D graphic accelerator with `SilentPipe` noiseless cooling technology to South African users.
Powered by the ATI-RADEON X700 core chipset at a clock speed of 400MHz and 128MB GDDR memory, the GV-RX70 series uses high-level 0.11 micrometer processing with 8 pixel pipelines and 6 vertex engines, and includes a 16x PCI-Express interface.
The GV-RX70 delivers a 3D benchmark value of 6000 and supports DirectX 9.0C; providing gamers with high quality pictures as well as sharp and accurate colours.
"Gamers who enjoy VGA won`t be disappointed with Gigabyte`s `SilentPipe` noiseless cooling technology which enables fast and silent running, making the RX70 series the preferred choice," says Michael Hann, Gigabyte product manager at Rectron.
The release of the GV-RX70P series runs concurrent with the recent launch of ATI performance class RADEON X700 VPU, setting new standards in graphics performance, visual realism and stability for games and applications.
The GV-RX70 provides excellent DVD and video playback for home entertainment systems as an added bonus, with all the video capabilities of VideoShader HD present in the X800 series.
