HansaWorld launches Cape Town office

Leading business software developer HansaWorld will officially launch its Cape Town office on 21 June 2007.

The company provides a range of integrated business solutions including financials, ERP and CRM systems for businesses ranging in size from one person in a home office to several hundred users.

Last year its flagship product HansaWorld Enterprise won the UK's Accountancy Age award for Mid-Range Software of the Year, with judges citing its technical innovation, impressive features and value for money. They noted that implementations were under budget and on time, and that the product demonstrated wide functionality.

"We've had many queries from the Western Cape, both directly and via our Web site, and some of our best South African implementation partners are based here," says HansaWorld's Johani Marais. "The growth in local business warranted opening a full-time office rather than continuing to manage the Cape Town customers and queries by visiting Cape Town every week."

In Cape Town, HansaWorld's existing partners include Unilynx Business Systems, Afresh Consult, iA Wyatt and Edgetec.

"Having local HansaWorld representation in the Cape is a great benefit to us," says Unilynx technical director Alan Nicholson. "It can be time-consuming and frustrating to negotiate when the parties are thousands of kilometres apart, but we can now get business-critical product decisions made at short notice. This has already helped us close a number of deals."

One recent customer, Bruce Dickson of well-known art materials and paper retailer, The Deckle Edge, says HansaWorld's solution is "far superior to anything else we've seen. We'd previously implemented a big-name system which was a complete disaster, but HansaWorld has performed fantastically. We're confident that we now have a solid, technically advanced foundation for future business growth."

HansaWorld recently launched version 5.2 with several updates to production tools, user interface improvements and the BusinessPhone communication centre, which for the first time integrates VOIP telephony completely with enterprise data.
