Hetzner, SA`s largest specialist Web hosting company, announced today that its data centre in Gallo Manor, Johannesburg, which opened its doors in August this year, has already reached 15% capacity.
Since launching its data centre three months ago, Hetzner has signed up 72 new clients resulting in an additional R100 000+ monthly annuity income for the company.
"These clients chose our services after comparing us to an expanding number of competitors," says Hans Wencke, managing director of Hetzner (Pty) Ltd.
"They came to Hetzner because of our unique value proposition. We offer competitive traffic rates and we don`t believe in locking our clients into a 12-month contract. We also have skilled technical staff who provide a quality service with exceptional response times. Added to this, our debt-free position enables us to offer competitive pricing and maintain profitability."
Hetzner`s intention is to bridge the gap within the SMME and mid-corporate market, offering co-location packages that are cost-efficient, reliable and service-driven.
"Although modest, our data centre has been built according to strict standards and international best practice. We also have the expertise and sense of urgency to ensure that when a problem occurs, it is dealt with in a matter of minutes," comments Wencke.
He added that Hetzner`s geographical presence within the Gauteng market has proven successful with the region identified as an important growth market for the company.
"Gauteng is a hive of activity with a growing demand for cost-effective and reliable co-location and dedicated hosting. We are making provisions to meet the increased demand and are confident that this market will benefit from our proven customer service and data centre facilities," adds Wencke.
"Our market research shows that over 60% of our growth can be attributed to word of mouth referrals. At Hetzner we believe there is a strong correlation between customer loyalty and our company`s success. From inception we have set out to be a service company foremost and a hosting provider second."

Hetzner`s standard co-location package is available at a monthly fee of R795. There is currently a special running during the month of November where the co-location set-up fee will be waived, resulting in a saving of R495.
