Following hot on the heels of their recent acquisition of a USA based software company for US$6M last month, HICOR today announced that their relationship with Compaq internationally becomes a lot closer due to the strategic role their product MessageWay will play in Compaq`s future initiatives in e-Commerce. Danny Pringle, Group Managing Director of HICOR said "We are obviously honoured that HICOR, a South African IT company, is now included in the prestigious list of Strategic Solutions Alliance Partners of Compaq internationally. Our relationship with Compaq`s NonStop Division goes back to 1996 but will now take on a whole new meaning as our NonStop and NT based products will become an integral part of Compaq`s offering for e-Commerce solutions through their vast sales force world wide."
"As e-Commerce transaction and data volumes grow, large corporations will need to improve their infrastructures to become totally scalable and be available on a 24x7 basis. There is also a growing need for large corporations and banks to enable their trading partners to trade electronically with them. "We are in the fortunate position that we can offer e-Commerce messaging and EDI translation services at the upper end through our MessageWay for NonStop product and with MessageWay for NT we cater for the middle and lower ends of the data volume scale.
