Looking to bring video professionals reliable, real-time access to uncompressed high definition video, Graphic Image Technologies (GIT) has introduced the Optibase/Viewgraphics` VideoPump HD, enabling applications for video effects and video editing.
The VideoPump HD system provides users with real-time, frame-accurate capture and playback, batch capture and machine control for industry-standard video tape recorders (VTR).
Capable of recording and playing back continuous serial streams at 8- or 10-bits of precision, and streaming full-rate video into and out of main memory, it also offers 100% QuickTime compatibility. As a result, files captured can be immediately accessed by any open systems application that can import QuickTime files.
The VideoPump offers high quality features and is exceptionally reliable. The interface and operation are straightforward, making conforming footage and simple editing easy and providing the best possible quality.
The system comes with a software utility called Clipper, a frame accurate clip list capture and lay-down application. This application is user-friendly and makes it possible for a VideoPump system to function as a high-end professional digital video disk recorder with remote control capabilities, including sequential clip playback and looping.
It can also be used to record Quicktime movie files in real-time from computer to a VTR, as well as to capture video frames in real-time from the VTR and save them as standard files on the computer.
VideoPump HD is available with an end-user software application called DTV:Deck that provides features such as non-linear access with time code, slow or fast motion playback, 10-bit digital recording, and selectable formats.
Available as a turnkey system, it also offers scaleable disk storage arrays. In addition, 16 channels of embedded audio conforming can be acquired and de-multiplexed from the input serial digital signal and stored in main memory.
VideoPump HD embraces open system solutions through its seamless integration into the Windows operating system and supports open standards.
