HighOrbit streamlines workflow
Apto Solutions has called upon HighOrbit Corporation, a provider of cost-effective BPM solutions, to help it implement an effective workflow system, says STL Today.
According to the publication, this is to eliminate the uncertainties and enhance the processing of information for the firm's purchase requisitions and work order requests. Prior to implementing HighOrbit, Apto's purchase requisitions and work order requests were processed via e-mail - a system that risked delays in sharing information, and endangered the consistency and accuracy of information being shared.
When it comes to tracking processes, many organisations are challenged with passing along paperwork, making sure the right e-mails are forwarded to the right people, and that all involved are working with correct information, it says.

A new breed of BPM emerges
According to a white paper by Interneer, titled 'Emerging Trends Business Process Management', a new breed of BPM platforms is emerging, leveraging these technologies and new paradigms, writes ECM Connection.
A small number of BPM companies are now offering the solution hosted or as software-as-a-service. Others are providing an integrated platform, combining all the tools necessary for deploying a BPM solution on one platform.
In all these cases, the platforms are usually focused on human-centric processes (workflows that connect people and data), simplicity and speed.
