Leading IT infrastructure distributor, Axiz has introduced a home and office value-series of monitors from Acer: the Acer AL1717S and Acer AL1917AS.
Suitable for call centres, these monitors offer a smart interface with rapid response times for the best in digital playback and movies. The Acer AL1717S is a 17-inch thin film transistor (TFT) flat-panel display monitor, while the Acer AL1917AS is an upgraded 19-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) monitor.

As a TFT active-matrix device, the Acer AL1717S weighs only 4.6kg and has both a diagonal and viewable size of 17-inches. It features 18-bit colour support, 12ms response time and a video graphics array (HD-15) standard interface. With a dot pixel pitch of 0.264mm, the Acer AL1717S offers a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024/75Hz, an image brightness of 300 cd/m2 and image-contrast ratio of 500:1. Available in black or silver, the monitor also features built-in stereo speakers, is 40-watt power consumption operational and has adjustment controls that include brightness, contrast, height or vertical position and colour balance.
"The Acer AL1917AS is ideal for the home entertainer and supports twisted nematic (TN) display-panel technology that has been specifically designed for entertainment and multimedia applications," says Mofokeng.
Gamers or movie lovers will also enjoy the Acer AL1917AS`s eight minute per second response time and 19-inch monitor. Supplied with built-in speakers, the monitor has an image brightness of 300 cd/m2, an image contrast ratio of 700:1 and a VGA (HD-15) interface. Weighing only 5.6kg, the Acer AL1917AS features a dot pixel pitch of 0.294mm, 24-bit colour support and is 60-watt power consumption operational. The monitor is available in black or silver and offers brightness, contrast, height or vertical position and clock control adjustments.
