Hosted service for SMEs unveiled
CosmoCom, a global provider of unified customer communications and contact centre consolidation solutions, has unveiled Quick Contact Centre (QCC), a new hosted contact centre service tailored specifically for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), reports TMCnet.
The power behind this new service is the all-IP CosmoCall Universe platform.
The QCC service was born from the need to deliver to the under-50-seat contact centre market a premium quality, fully-featured hosted service that can facilitate phone, e-mail, Web, SMS and fax communications in a unified way.
Bell Aliant to close 11 centres
Bell Aliant is closing 11 call centres in Atlantic Canada by next April and is offering to transfer the employees to its remaining large centres, according to CBCnews.
The company would not disclose the total number of people affected, but the phone and Internet company says its 16 customer call centres employ about 1 400 people in total.
The company says locations with fewer than 50 employees will be closed, which includes centres in Shippagan, Bathurst and Fredericton in New Brunswick, and Truro, Amherst, Bridgewater, New Glasgow and Sydney in Nova Scotia.
Codetel deploys Amdocs CES
America Movil has selected Amdocs customer experience systems (CES) for deployment by its subsidiary Codetel, based in the Dominican Republic, states ipTVnews.
The systems will support Codetel's convergent wireline, wireless, broadband and IPTV billing, ordering and customer relationship management (CRM).
Says Oscar Pena, CEO of America Movil's Dominican Republic operations, "Amdocs' CRM, ordering and billing products will enable America Movil to reduce operational expenditures, while fulfilling the vision of delivering innovative multi-play offerings."
